Default Comptech Intake Install

Question- as shown in the picture when I removed the OEM intake tube the metal connector stayed attached to the hose (in white towel) and now I cannot get it out. Can I cut this? Will I be short on hose needed for Comptech install? Please help solve my dilema. Thanks

It's just adhered on there from heat and time. Spray it with silicone and work a tiny flat bladed screwdriver in and around the end of the rubber tube to pry it off the metal part. If it won't come, then slit it (length-wise from the end) a bit at a time till it comes loose. That way, you can preserve as much length as possible.

This might sound dumb, but I'm finding the comptech directions a bit confusing. If anyone has step by step directions alla' pics. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There are many reports of CELs after a CAI install. If you become one of those, here is a thread to help you fix it:
