Default Convertible Top (Closed)

i'm sure somebody will flame me for this questions...but here it goes anyway:

Does anybody else have a rattle/clicking/shaking on the buckle/clamp that keeps our convertible top down when driving?

if so, is there a way to minimize the sound or to remedy the problem?

thanks fellas!

check that everything is tight but if you have air coming in at highway speeds then your strikers are probably worn. replace them and youre good!

I'm pretty sure that it's not air coming in because it only rattles and clicks when i go over like little dips and bumps and such. The passenger side clamp doesn't do it, but i notice it quite a bit on the driver's side.

somebody told me that there might have been a TSB on it. is that true?

if not ,i'm going to take a screwdriver and try tightetning everything like you said. Thanks ideugene.

Another thing you can try is slide a short length of plastic tubing over the hook.
