Default Cool Taillight Trick

I removed the little, outside taillights, not the main bulb.
After doing this I noticed that the top brake light now remains on, but dim.
Due to the extra power going back there, i guess, the top brake light now stays lit as a running light, but only when the headlights are on.
This may sound kinda crappy looking, but actually looks really cool.
Plus the tails look so much better with those smaller lights removed.

Oh, i should mention that i have a MY01 and I have put LED's in to replace the standard bulbs. Not sure if this was a contributing factor.

I did what you did for a day and some lady almost side swiped me, so I put it back in. My brake light didnt come on. It looks nice but Im scared people on the side wont see me next to them and hit me.

LEDs require very, very little current. Much less than a halogen/incandescent.

wouldn't this confuse people in to thinking your brakes are on?

Or the exact opposite.

i hardly think that it would confuse anyone. it is very dim, not nearly as bright as when the brake light is on.

You obviously have more faith in your fellow drivers on the road than I do. Does not take much to confuse people these days.
