Default Coolant bleeding

I've just replaced the radiator, I haven't managed to get the air out of the heater matrix as the heating doesn't work. I loosened the bleed screw on the front of the inlet manifold. I have also seen some posts with a 2nd bleed screw on the rear of the engine bay near the fire wall, however I can't see it on mine (I have an AP1). How can I get the coolant into the heater?

Thanks

Amazon Amazon

Put this on the radiator, put some coolant in it. Turn on car with heater knob full hot, turn on fans to max. Let it get up to 3 bars on coolant gauge then turn the car off. Squeeze the top coolant hose (its hot) and open the front bleeder. Once it flows steady coolant out close the front bleeder. Let go of top hose. Repeat until air stops coming out the front bleeder.

UK cars do not have the second bleeding port on the firewall, but you should be able to get the air out just using the one on the manifold.
The funnels linked above works great but for some reason they are really hard to find here in Europe.
Either way check this guide out https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-un...bleed-1067218/

Funnel is awesome. Takes all the hassle out of this task and makes it near foolproof.

So easy a caveman could do it (a reference lost, no doubt, upon those across the pond)

I've amended my coolant procedure to use the funnel system mentioned above. It really is dead nuts simple- as mentioned in Billman's referenced procedure, run the car at 2500 rpm for 2 mins. The funnel will bubble quite a bit as the air works its way out through the rad and up thru the funnel.

You should'a ordered a bunch! Sell them to friends. Take advantage of shipping cost to amortize over several units.

No, I am the only car geek here, and changing coolant is unknown to most germans. It´s all about "Lifetime fill". I once earned a unbelivable big shitstorm in a german VW forum as i said one should change the coolant from time to time.
I do this work on my car for myself, i just will lend the funnel to two good friends.

Interesting. Lots of 'lifetime' fluids in german cars. Seems silly to me. The fluid might retain its properties over time and use, but its likely to pick up contaminants that aren't easily filtered out. Coolant doesn't even have a filter.
