Wuts up everyone. I noticed my coolant level was low and saw on the reservoir at the base of the cap a green ring of coolant that had leaked out. Has anyone else had this problem?.......And can I seal it w/ something or do I need to replace it?...... Thx


....I imagine it's a very slow leak but I'm curious to know how I leaked from there?...could it be from the coolant splashing around or could the coolant vaporize and leak out?... Thx again

 

Check to make sure the top of the cap is not contacting the underside of the hood when the hood is closed. Mine did and it did cause a very slow coolant leak.

 

Have you ever added coolant to your car before this?

 

Being in a warm climate you may have had significant expansion while hot. Only fill it to the bottom mark (not full) and keep an eye on it.
