Default Coolant temperature questions

I recently installed Modifry's engine coolant temperature gauge mod in my AP2. Principally, this allow me to know how hot the engine is running, rather than the gauge showing the same temperature from 180 to 225.

So, it turns out that, at idle, the engine stays at around 210 - 215, while even on the track, it stays in the range of 180 - 190.

Is this normal?

Yes, the thermostat begins to open at 170F and is fully open at 194F. 200+ is normal with no air flow and 180F to 190F would be normal when moving, slightly higher with high ambient temps or very heavy loads.
