Anyone local to you have the same clutch? I'd go for a drive in another car to see if it's the same thing you are feeling.

You could also ask the shop if the disc had honda stamped on it or something else.

It was the one from the ACT clutch pressure plate and disc that VVS sells on here and Evolution Motor Sports. I dont know, i hear it's common and it's bc of the disc, dont know, just feel like i wasted a grand, sucks!

My ACT has been installed since 02. It's only very slightly louder than the stock clutch under decel. You have to strain to hear any noise. If it's louder than that, you may have another issue. I've seen some pretty shitty clutch installs, with all sorts of bolts missing, and things left loose. Best to crawl under the car and have a look for the obvious.

ok, did u have to break ur clutch in, i was recommended that too, i will def. look at it this weekend. It was an AAMCO guy and he has done it for 20 years does good work, but i will let u know, i barely hear it, sounds like it wasn't as bad as when i first picked it up but like i said only put about 20 miles on it, gonna drive and stop a lot this weekend and get some wear and should go down (the noise) I guess with top down and S/C it wont be that noticable i hope

No special break in other than normal driving in traffic.

No i don't feel so, it just a slight noise, they are willing to take the car back apart, it's an AAMCO and been doing it himself 20 years i think he's pretty good, esp since hes as worried about what im telling him as i am. Either way i hope to figure it out, gonna go drive the S a little today and see if it goes away since the disc is Brand new and all.

Is this "buzz" accompanied by clutch pedal vibration, or do I most likely have a shady clutch install?

Vibrations in a clutch pedal dun't necessarily mean the clutch is bad. The vibrations in your pedal are most likely normal. If the clutch was improperly installed, accelerating from a standstill, the car may shake or vibrate as it's accelerating from a standstill. That is due to a warped pressure plate, or simply a wasted clutch.

If your car is smooth engaging the clutch from a standstill, the clutch is good regardless of some small vibrations in the clutch pedal.
