Mine stopped rattling after removing the bracket that goes from the Header to the block.

Just finished reading this thread...

Toda has definitely lost ALL of my business. What a shame.

Really irks me a company can charge $1150 for a header and not stand behind it 100%.

Incidents like this will run them outta business if they are not careful.

Just seen this on an N/A UK car. The crack had gone completely through half of the bracket, and was already partial depth on the other half. It was causing an occasional resonance noise under engine braking. The header gives very good results, but this kind of problem takes the edge of the benefits.

Is it bad to remove the bracket?

The broken Toda header totals so far are 3.
Mine, C3's, another in the UK. My car is the only SC of the group. I'm almost tempted to call AKH again.

As far as long term effects of not having the bracket go, I cant really say. I'm not expecting to have any more problems out of it. Mine has been off since Febuary, with no ill effects as of yet. I was just under the car today, inspected the header and found no new cracks.

I bet there are plenty more, but unless you actually get under there and push crap around you'll never see it. It looks fine visually.

Rah rah overpriced parts!
