Crackling/ticking noise when turning
hello everyone, I've been noticing a problem with my s2000 recently and was wondering if i could get some tips or advice on how to fix this problem. So basically whenever i turn left there is a loud crackling noise or ticking coming from the front passenger side wheel that i keep hearing. It usually happens when I'm moving slowly and i have the wheel turned fully to the left, however the noise starts when the wheel is about halfway turned left. when the car is on a cold start and i turn around in my cul-de-sac i don't hear it, when i get to school with car fully warmed up and turn slowly it gets really loud. the noise does speed up and slow down depending on the speed of the car. After a few days i jacked up the front end of the car and was just making sure where the noise was coming from and it seems when i grab and turn the wheel fully right then turn them to the left slightly the crackling/ticking noise is coming from the tie-rod or steering rack.
Ive tried looking this problem up already on this forum but there seems to be problems similar to mine, but nothing seemed to be helpful to me. Again if you guys had any tips or advice on what you think the problem could be it would much appreciated!
if this info is to any use there hasn't been any mods or changes to my steering rack. The only thing i have done to the suspension are just coilovers.
