Default Cruise Control

Last week while cruising down the Garden State Parkway, I set the cruise control. The cruise light came on but cannot locked on the speed. It feels like the throttle cable not engaged. I searched the forum but cannot find the solution.

Opened the manual and did the motor test. The manual said to connect ground to pin 1 and 12v to pin 2. It clicked. Continued to connect ground to pin 3 and 12v to pin 4. It clicked but the motor not moving. So I guessed it must be bad. Found one on Ebay. Received it today and plugged it in. Same thing. Still not working. WTF !!!!!

I disassembled my original cruise motor and this time, I wired up all the pins like before but I guessed I let it connected for 20 seconds. Guessed what. The motor starts spinning. I took the one from Ebay and connect it up and sure enough, 20 seconds later, it starts spinning. Now I got 2 good cruise motor now.

Put back the original one in the car and tested fine. I guessed I haven't used the cruise control awhile and it got stuck somehow.

I thought I share this in case someone else having the same problem.

Mine was a bad motor. I picked one up off ebay for $14.99 shipped and it has worked perfect since.
