I was driving at around 65 mph and decided to use the cruise control. It worked for about 3 sec. and then stopped. The activation button on the left of the steering wheel turns green when I press it but I can't set the cruise control.
All the cables look fine. My manual doesn't tell me which fuse is the one for the cruise control. Can someone please help?
Before I list the fuses to check, know that the CC have some interlock features that can defeat the system function. For example, your brake pedal interlock may be loose or out of position or have an electrical fault. Same goes for the clutch pedal. If you push on either, the CC cancels. One of these interlocks may be the source of the problem.
Also, the buttons on the steering wheel will cancel the CC if both are pushed at the same time. Perhaps there is an electrical fault here where it thinks both buttons are pushed.
Fuse #47 (10A) in the fuse box near the battery is for CC. It's the one labelled "STOP" on the lid. But it's also for the horn and brake lights, so if those are working, it's not that one.
Fuse #6 (15A), #23 (10A) under the dash have CC functions. This picture will show you where these fuses are.
