Default cusco sub frame

Hi , I was installing my cusco sub frame and I was following Oatnets directions but during assembly of the 3 pieces, i found that no matter how hard i tried to tighten the cross bar to the other 2 pieces, the cross bar would still wiggle with the bolts tightened as hard as i could.. Is this normal?

Hey Brian,

I would just take them all apart and reinstall them. If I recall correctly, even if you tightened the cross bars & the long bars tight, you can still move the two long bars (horizontally that is). As far as the cross bar wiggle up-and-down, it shouldn't wiggle that much. Try taking the 2 screws (w/the allen wrench) for the cross bar apart and put it back together. Once you tighten the four main bolts on 4 corners, it should be very secured, but do recheck two crews on the cross bar. Remember I told you that one side of the cross bar that has a little scratch is the side that is facing inward, toward the bottom of the car (I don't think it matters too much, but that how it was on my car).

I had the bars on my car for a few weeks and it made clunking noises, a few times, going over uneven road surface. I took the bars apart & re-installed them, testing on the same road and the problem went away. This maybe that I did not have the cross bar tightened like what you have now. pm me and give me if you want for me to swing by to help you install them.
