Default Custom Fabrication Tranny ?

I want to know from you real experienced S2000 guys what it would take to make an s2000 Tranny bolt up to a K-Series motor. Assuming in theory I had a swap kit for the motor. Has any aftermarket tuning company ever entertained this idea ? Is it even possible. In all my research into the S2000 it just seems like NA it is really stretched to the max. On a K, there are guys making 230+ whp on a stock lower half and the new cams from Intrinsic performance. K-pro and basic bolt ons are a given. Anyway, and thoughts on the feasibility of such a setup.

I think king motorsports got 300+ whp n/a out of the F20C.

as for the swap, i suppose anything is possible with unlimited amounts of cash. IMO, though it wouldn't be worth it. you're better off just getting a new final drive gear for the RSX.

Keep in mind there is a huge difference in WHP between FWD and RWD. By the time you got your K series and an S2000 transmission mounted, diff and axles on you have probably lost any advantage.

The biggest issue with a K series swap in a RWD car will be the lack of engine mounts in the center of the block. The K's are mounted at the front of the timing cover, and the back of the block.

I do not know if the S2000 tranny can be compatible with the K-serious motor, but I do know that the K-series tranny is compatible with the S2000 motor. The only swap I have heard of was down somewhere in florida or something according to a good friend of mine who ownes a shop in LA. He heard that they were able to swap a s2000 motor into a eg6 and use the K-series tranny to keep the civic front wheel drive. If this is true then I don't see why it wouldn't work the other way around.

It has not been done yet due to the lack of parts on the market yet, but in time 300 all motor hp will be possible with the k series engine

Then k and f tranny doesn't match up perfectly but i believe using the s2k intake manifold and headr could create great power from the k20a.
