Cyl head removal
I'm going to pull the cylinder head this weekend. I know you can just unbolt the header from the head, but can I leave the intake manifold on and remove it as one unit?

I've done this a few times, I left the intake manifold on both times, the crappiest part is taking off the 2 black brackets that "support"(BS) the intake manifold to the block. you may need to remove the adjusting bolts on the alternator to move it around to get under there better, some of the hoses are a pain in the ass under there, dont forget the ground wire on the back side of the head against the fire wall, and all those electrical connectors that are supported by a black bracket that is on the back side of the valve cover.
When removing the cams/timing chain assembly, the one sprocket do NOT drop that WASHER down the timing case!!!
Uhh....when taking the head off, try not to drop it, I had 5 people help me at one time working on this crap because if you drop it, you might dent/ding the deck of the head and then it might have to be machined flat again, make sure to take the head bolts out in the correct order to hinder warpage of the head...
I think thats it, I can't remember everything.

Stuff like removing the alternator is not in the service manual. Learned the hard way and with some advice from Slow.
