I wasn't aware their proprietary design was flawed? I got mine from Cody at Lovefab. Is there any way to tell which version I have?

So Inline Pro told you they know MORE about headgaskets than Cometic? I am very skeptical about this. Even more so than the oil jet bolt removal debate...

That's the best way to do it. Much easier to get at those pesky intake bolts.
taking the intake manifold of is a PITA it will be much easyer just to pull the head w/ the intake mani on there.

Hey, I'm just repeating what word I know. John knows I'm on this board quite a bit. Why would he say Cometic went back to Inline's design and scrapped their own reworking if it weren't true?

Either way, I have compression loss.

FF2Skip, did you use any copper spray? What did you torque the head to?

No on the spray. I want to say the company we got them from said 87 ft.lbs. I'll check w/ Black Nugget... he ordered both sets(his/mine) and talked to them.

Regarding your compression loss, have you verified your valves, valve seats and rings are alright? Is the head/block true? Was the head torqued in 3 steps and in sequence?

I've not touched the car since the Dragon. I've been immersed in a home theater project that I'm trying to make look decent before my wife's suprise b-day party tomorrow.

The block was brand-spanking new from Honda. The head was prepped by Laskey. Joe, brother of Hardtopguy, actually did that part of the install, so i can't say with 100% certainty, however, this isn't the first motor he's put together for an S.
