Good to hear that your problem looks like it has been solved. Really hope you have time to post the DYI.

Default Problem solved!

The problem has been solved! After 470 miles my engine consumed one diamond of oil on the dipstick or 1/5th of a quart. That puts me at burning a quart about every 2500 miles which is pretty good for a f20.

Few questions, oem valve stem seals, how much does the parts cost?
is taking off the cam assembly a pain in the butt with all the loose pieces?

I bought supertech ones. They were around $30 for all of them I think. I bought them from Revlinekc which is my go to shop here in Kansas City but I know he ships worldwide! The rocker assembly wasn't very hard to take off no. They can be a little annoying but I wouldn't describe it as being difficult.

Im assuming you rotated the crank for each cylinder to get it to TDC. Is this hard to do with the timing chain not under tension (since the cams are removed)?

With the f series being non interference with the cams out it won't effect the timing chain at all

The timing chain connects the crank to an idler gear which in turn drives the cams. The chain is not attached to the cam gears, thank the Lord. It adds a bit of friction but makes the cam timing more precise.
