Damaged Exhuast
I have installed and removed a Comptech exhaust. The tips should not separate from the mufflers. They are welded on. Are you asking how hard is it to remove the exhaust? It's easy.
And with the Comptech, you don't even have to remove the cat-back part. Just after the split to mufflers. You could even just remove one side. Very easy. You don't even need to take off the bumper.

Yes I'll probably have to go and uninstall the muffler, which is why I am asking, I'd much rather do this than have to drive the car anywhere, just to be safe...
Thank you
So just to update anyone who's interested...Today I tried to unbolt the exhaust pipe and take the mufflers off the rubber hangers...well that seemed more challenging then expected, the bolts did not want to give, after about 45 mins of fighting trying to get the bolts off, I gave up and decided to just drive to the auto shop and let them take a look at it.
You guys were correct, the weld bead was broken off. At first glance the mechanic thought I had just cut some tubing and stuck them inside the muffler, this was not the case, we had to actually pull the exhaust pipe out from inside the muffler to see where the weld bead was broken.
All in all, the guys were able to weld her up, it cost $50 bucks, easy fix. And I am back on the road now
Aside from that, I also changed my transmission fluid today.
Thank you all for your help
