Default Damaged front caliper Banjo bolt thread

Hey guys,

I was installing a set of Spoon brake calipers on my 01' S2000 earlier, and I managed to screw something up on the last bolt I had to tighten, the banjo bolt on my right caliper. Either I could not keep the brake-line flat on the caliper because it was a bit twisted or my torque wrench needs a replacement (I was torquing to 34Nm).
But the real problem is that I damaged the thread.

Does anybody know an easy fix to this issue ?

Thanks,

I think the bolts are more likely to strip than the threads of the caliper, try a new banjo bolt from Honda. I know from past experience that those things strip out easy so I torqued mine to 20 ft lbs when I recently swapped brake lines.

A good shop can chase the threads for you if they are damaged.

Thank you for your answers!

@JFUSION: I wish it was the banjo bolt because I have 2 spare ones. Unfortunately the threads on the caliper are striped
@SilverS2kF22C1: That's what I will do eventually. I was looking for a fix that I could do myself though

you can run a tap back through it if you have one. you might have to rebuild the calipers either way if the shavings get inside.

Heavily grease the tap and you wont get shavings in the caliper. Then rinse out well with brake cleaner.
