Default Dashboard Martix

Hi all

My 04 s2k dash keeps on getting scrambled and then correcting it's self after a short period of Time. anyone else had this problem and how do you fix it

Sounds like an earth problem...either that or the PCB. You may need a new set of clocks.

Is it all the dash data?

I think you're going to have to remove the clocks. A search/FAQ will provide a good guide for removal (which is a little fiddly).

Make sure all the connectors at the back are tight, and pull GENTLY on the wires in the connectors to make sure none are loose. Check none of the connectors are corroded (unlikely).

PROCEED WITH CAUTION...I CATASTROPHICALLY COCKED MY CLOCKS UP REPLACING A LAMP!!!!!

If you still haven't found the problem, remove the white cover on the back of the clocks and ensure all the connections to the PCB are tight. I can't remember off the top of my head if there is one main earth wire, but will check my knackered set of clocks for you.
