Dead Battery
My car sat for the last 2 weeks when I was away with the military on course. Coming home it has a dead battery, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what could cause a strain on the battery. It has been garage stored, lights off doors shut etc. I have also been away longer in the past without it being dead. It is a brand new battery this year, so I know its not just a bad battery.

depends on the condition of the battery. all cars have a slight drain all the time. when it sits for a couple weeks it can be enough to drain the battery to the point of not starting. have the battery fully charged and tested. when you leave the car unhook the battery

If you have an alarm on your car that's probably not it but if you have a MOTION SENSOR that will drain on your battery. If you have a stereo(aftermarket) there is a rare chance that it could be wired so that the switch that turns on the amp is wired so that it stays powered to turn the amp off but when power is cut it turns the amp on.
Electrical drains are a pain to pinpoint.
