Default OEM hardtop window heater

Hi! I have a MY00 S2k, and the OEM hardtop. The hardtop has window heater, but I don't have a switch to turn them on. Do I need more than the switch? Or is that it? Do I need a relay as well?.. The Honda dealer didn't know..

Ok. I read the instructions now, but I have another question.. It looks like I do have the wire harness, but I don't have the switch. Do you (or anyone else) know where the relay is supposed to be located?... Have to know if I need to order a relay, or just the switch Thanks a lot so far!

It's not a simple matter to hook up the defroster. It depends on how early in 2000 your car was manufactured (there are two versions of the harness which goes under the console, one version supplying a missing ground wire for the earliest models). There is another harness which fits in the rear compartment, linking the console harness and ends up as the socket on the left rear package tray. There are also miscellaneous parts (relay, switch, plastic parts) which make up the installation. Also, if the switch cutout on the right of the steering wheel in your country is not otherwise filled with a switch, you can mount a switch in the dash. Send me a PM with your email address and I can send you a PDF file with information on how to hook up the defroster.
