Thumbs up Diagnosing an exhaust leak?

How do you diagnose an exhaust leak? I had the Mugen Header installed last Friday and can't tell if I'm just hearing the gasses flowing through it or if it has a leak.

It seems like I'm hearing a slight hiss but that could just be paranoia...

Having had an exhaust crack on me before I would assume that a leak from the header would be much louder than a hiss but I'd still like to be sure.

How exactly do you check a header for leaks? Soapy water comes to mind but that seems like a bad idea...

On the bright side, the power gain from the header is quite nice

Thanks

Soapy water is a bad idea for something that gets so hot. Do you smoke? Blow cigarette smoke over the area. If you have a leak, you'll see a disruption in the smoke pattern. Make sure you rad fans are not on.
