Default diagnosing front end "clunk"

i'm getting a pronounced "clunk" coming from the right front whenever i roll over a speed bump or other formidable bumps/ruts. everything seems to be pretty snug underneath the car (just got done checking) so i'm guessing it's a strut. anyway to confirm this at home before taking it in to the shop?

thanks!

it might be your shocks. i had the same problem whenever i went over and kind of bump it would "clonk". i had a mechanic take a look at it and he said that my shock was shot and needed to be replaced. good luck with it
