okay so after many days of launching the shit out of my s2k, my diff finally gave out, ,,,it now makes a loud winding sound,i dont hear any grinding of gears, i changed the fluid and it was full and didnt have any metal shavings...so i had alot of ppl tell me that the OEM diffs are sht on s2ks...

im looking to buy another soon, any suggetions on a fair priced performance diff??

but i've seen them go for 500-700 for oem one... or you could think about doing a different setup with the gears.

id rather not mess with the gears id like to buy a diff set up complete

 

as mine also made bad winding sounds prior to my diff blowing up, I was able to find an 07 diff with less than 300 miles on it for $500 and all has been good since the upgrade...just keep looking around for bargains since you never know what you'll find

 

Contact Puddydaddy on here. He rebuilds diffs for people. Upgraded comptech housing with all kinds of strong goodies inside. I think he has a setup now that is under 1k.

under 1k!? Freakin legit. Hope hes still around when mine blows. I've launched a few times on drive pavement and had some pretty horrific wheel hop :-/ lol
