I don'k now about you but my car is a girl and considering if I stick my finger in the tail pipe is the dirty and noisy one and the differential is the wet one then...........OH MY GOD WHAT AM I SAYING!!! Forget everything I just said. DELETE, DELETE, DELETE! LOL!!!

the tail pipe could be wet too. but you're right, it would be a dirty kinda wet.

 

I need to talk nice and warm up the girl a bit before getting my fingers wet to check on filling things up.

It sounds like you should lower the car back to all fours or lift the front to be level to see if it's about right. You may still need a bit more.

I use a weed pressure sprayer and just pump that up. Cut the end tip off and you can easily fill the differential. It's like $7 at Walmart too

 

The trick I learned is to use the jack to lift up the diff to an incline so that you can get a couple of extra pumps in. Then cap it off when it overflows and let the diff back down.
