Default Diff leaking?

While installing my new exhaust, i noticed that on alittle bit of my diff, esp around the plug, theres a dark, thin layer of oil? Is this in any way normal? theres never anything on the ground, just a small spot around the plug. Ideas?

When replacing your rear diff fluid do you always use new crush washers?

Wipe the area clean and see if it returns. A slight stain is normal, it is good that there were no drips.
