Default Diff R&R - any evap removal tricks out there?

I'm in the process of removing my stock diff and installing an '04 diff with 4.57 gears, and have hit the inevitable evap canister road block - I have the manual but wanted to see if anyone had a quick trick to expidite the process?

You have most likely already unbolted that metal cross member, to which is also attached the EVAP cannister. Now that the cannister is not held on at the back end, you can carefully push it down and to the side a bit to get it out of your way. This only slightly bends the front mounting bracket and is not a problem.
