Diff & Tranny
I just went to Honda Dealer and ask for Manual Transmission fluid & Rear Diff fluid. They sold me 'MTF Plus' SAE 75W-80 API GL4 (part no. B1710) for the tranny. HGO 'Hypoid Gear Oil' SAE 90 API GL5 (part no B1720) for the diff. Are these the right fluids for our car?
how do I post pics?? I've taken pics of the bottles but don't know how to post.

"Many people have the misconception that SAE numbers are a continuous series, and that the higher the SAE number, the higher the viscosity. They are unaware that, in general, the viscosity of SAE 30 motor oil is similar in viscosity to SAE 90 gear oil."

10w-30 is very close to a 75w-80 they just use a different chart, one uses a sae engine oil chart and the other is on the sae GEAR oil chart. Go Here to see the charts
Road Rage could explain it much better

Isn't SAE ratings for crankcase oil a bit different from those of gear oils? Not sure if it makes any difference, but he's "down under".
If I remember correctly, a 75W-90 gear oil is roughly the same viscosity as a 10w-40 (or motor oil. That's why you can use motor oil in a pinch for a manual transmission.
