Anyway, the point is, I believe that Bobble can, in fact, use his "MTF Plus" in his tranny because that's probably how it's badged where he lives. Agreed? No?

Slow, do you happen to know what the SAE rating is for our Honda MTF? The original poster is in New Zealand (?). Our manual does say that a GL-4 is acceptable. I'm wondering if an SAE 75W80 API GL-4 gear oil would be about the same viscosity as a 10W30 crankcase oil?

This is why I ask:

"Many people have the misconception that SAE numbers are a continuous series, and that the higher the SAE number, the higher the viscosity. They are unaware that, in general, the viscosity of SAE 30 motor oil is similar in viscosity to SAE 90 gear oil."
This is excerpted from:

From the AHM info I've read, Honda MTF is closest to a 10w40-10w30. Twas' a bit early this morning, I didn't notice Bobble was down under.

I'd have a look though the Aus' owners manual to verify the marketing name of Honda's trans fluid.

As a "guest", you can't. You must be a "member" to have photo album use. You are best to find an outside photo storage facility for now as the photo albums are being worked on at the moment and don't work all that well.
