Default Difference in AP1 and AP2 Fuel Rails!

I need a fuel rail.... Found one of an ap1. Will these fit and 04 ap2? I need it to tap my fuel pressure gauge. I want to save my stock one. Thanks

While installing my turbo, I decided to go with the AEM fuel pressure regulator. This does not have a port on it for a fuel pressure gauge. Therefore, I had to tap the fuel rail for the gauge. Having never used a tap and die set, I ordered an oem fuel rail in case i messed up. I was told on the forums that they were identical. However they are not. The AP2's have a brace bolted to them where the fuel inlet bango bolt is as the AP1's don't. However I was able to put a crush washer on the AP1 fuel rail and it worked fine. So there is a difference between the fuel rails, but you can make them work.
