Does anyone know the difference between full and short sweep electrical gauges?

The greater the sweep of the gage the more useful the readings can be... Basically you'll have a greater range of numbers that will be available to indicate the value being read, (You can see more detail) and in most cases the more accurate the gage. Keep in mind though that this is based off the manufacturer and the requirements of the application for which the gage was designed.
