Default Differences after PRM Intake Install

I just installed a PRM Air Intake system on my 03 S and was wondering if it's normal for the feeling of the Vtec transition point to almost go away. Prior to installing the Intake this transition was very "On/Off" in nature. Excluding the sound of it. Now after the PRM Intake the seat of the pants feeling has lessoned dramatically during the Vtec transition. Hope this makes sense?

I'm not saying that the car has slowed down at all, it just seems to have smoothed out the power band enough to leave me with the impression that it's not putting down the same power as it did with the OEM Airbox. I knew prior to purchasing an Inake system for this vehicle that the power gain would be almost zero and my only purpose was for the sound it.

Has anyone else experienced this after installing an aftermarket intake on these cars? My only concern is that I just sacrificed power for the sake of sound and if that's the case I will then be putting the OEM box back on very quickly.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

I believe his is normal. An intake should make the transition much smoother, I have had the similar effect wih my V2 installed. The transition Into VTEC did get smoother, but ou can still feel the kick. Biggest change is the sounds during the transition.

Good to hear this is common and that I probably haven't lost any power. I guess a little more seat time with the new intake will prove this.

Thanks
