Differences between piston rings
Hi all
I am in the process of rebuilding my F20C. Whilst shopping around for piston rings, 2 different part numbers are given to me by different honda techs. The dealer seems to think that piston rings part number 13011-PCX-024 is the correct one which are on back order for 3 months. However, they could get piston rings part number 13011-PCX-305 in 2 days and they suggested I use them instead. That's despite the fact that on VIN search only the first one comes up all the time.
What do people think, should I stick to the correct part number and wait for months or go with the alternative yet OEM rings (second part number above)? Are there any differences in design, performance?
Regards

Thanks for the info. The newer ones are on back order 3 months. I wonder if any US trader would have in stock and willing to ship.
