Differential 00 vs 04

Default Differential 00 vs 04

Will an 04 differential fit in my 00?

Yes it will fit but, you have to change the flange that goes to the drive shaft.
Do a serch there is a lot of info on this swap

my ap1 diff. went out and i replaced it with a ap2 i dont think i used anything else. i just dropped it in and adjusted it and bolted it back up no problems and about 5,000mi strong.

The flange that connects to the drive shaft uses a larger socket head screw on the AP2 diff. AP2 uses a 10 mm size and AP1 uses an 8 mm size.
