How easy is it to change your differential....??

Im thinking about getting the CUSCO diff and want to know if I can do this myself with no lift.

Also, not that I plan to, just asking, with an upgraded clutch and differential, will the car be able to take more abuse.......ie launching and such??

 

Are you asking how easy it is to replace the whole differential (pumpkin) or how easy is it to replace the Limited Slip differential (LSD) from inside of the pumpkin?

The first one is easy, It took me 4 hours from start to finish with w trip to Sears for a few tools. The second one is exactly the same as installing Gears. You have to remove the ring gear from the LSD and reset the gears. This is not a do it yourself job.

As for the "abuse" questions, I can't help with that one.
