Differential pinion spacers...help!
Good Afternoon Everyone,
As I'm sure you gathered, I'm having a bit of trouble nailing down information on the different pinion spacers. I've just started getting bearing whine from my pinion at roughly 20-30% throttle on my 04 @ 210,000 miles. The whine varies in pitch and intensity both as you press through the 20-30% throttle range and as you back off of the pedal.
I ordered the inner/outer pinion bearings and carrier bearings (might as well change them while I'm in there). My question is, is it possible to reuse the spacer that is already in there or will the new bearings require a different sized shim possibly? I can't find a shim locally and I would hate to order all 27 different sized spacers just to find the one that I need. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I also have seen the solid sleeves that I am assuming replace the crush sleeve (or "Distance Piece" as Honda seems to call it). Is there a great benefit to using one of these versus the factory piece?
Thanks in advance!
Jeremy
PS- I did search through the forums and found lots of differential topics, but none that mentioned the specifics of the spacer and its possible re-use if utilizing the same ring and pinion set.
*Edit* Of course immediately after making the post I found one about reusing the original crush sleeve to get the shimming close before crushing the new sleeve, but it doesn't clarify if the spacer can be re-used or if you're more than likely to need a different sized spacer.

Thank you! Actually sent him a PM as well when I made the post, trying to cover all my bases.
I just got off the phone with one of the largest Honda dealerships outside Atlanta and they have never even stocked the "distance piece" 41271-PCZ-003 nor the spacers...sadly only available from a dealership in Chino, CA according to their system.
I know I can get it from majestic just not sure what to do about so many spacer options, short of a very lenient return policy.
