Actual owners !

No shuddering when launching fast !

I agree with your point that " What you're dealing with on this clutch may just be the nature of the beast in a competition clutch under street conditions." but the thing is I had an even wilder clutch (UK brand called "Helix") on my previous car and it was great straight out of the box (i.e. no judder or weird burning smells) except for increased pedal pressure feel.

Did your previous car have torque? That would explain that.

It sure did !! That's exactly the problem with this car: No low-down torque !! I still have a bit to go to learn how to drive and handle it. !

Hello pfspeeddemon.....this is a very old thread but I would really love to know what your outcome on this was. I installed an aftermarket clutch and I have EXACT the same issues with clutch judder when reversing up my garage ramp accompanied by some weird smells....

Did you eventually get to the bottom of this?

In over 7 years, he may have gone off to greener pastures. What brand/model clutch did you put into the car?

Thanks!

I am using RPC Stage 1 clutch kit on 01 model with standard flywheel. Its just been installed and I am also experiencing judder on reverse, incidentally also when reversing out of my garage incline. There is also a buzz after max revving up through each gear but there is no buzz when I max rev it and hold on to the same gear. Any clues?

And its not the deceleration buzz that is so often mentioned. This is on acceleration above 6k rpm when shifting UP through the gears!

Kinda sounds like disc and pressure plate may need an inspection.
