so i have an ap1 and im about to make a purchase of an ap2 differential because mine is going bad. so im told that you need to swap over the differential flanges...is there a DIY? and how hard is it to swap it? or is it just a very simple thing to do?

Not exactly a DIY job. This is on par with performing your own ring and pinion gear set. There are clearances that must be perfect, one time use crush washers, ect. I wouldn't attempt this myself.
