Default Dim light cluster

The back lighting for the buttons on the left side (all of the buttons which control the audio volume mode start engine etc) seem to all be dimmer than on the right side. Dim to the point that they are actually almost difficult to read and i have the cluster set to maximum brightness.

Has anyone else experienced this or notice this with their lights? My car is an 07 still under factory warranty, and I don't think a car that new should be having such a problem. If anyone knows what the culprit might be I'm all ears!

Just curious

Sgt. Pepper, I too have the left side not as bright as the right. I replaced bulbs earlier in the year, but had the issue before then. I always drive with max brightness and lights on, even in the day. I figure either the left side brightness controller (if there is such a thing) is stuck on medium, or the bulbs I put in were not the correct ones (though they were the ones on the parts blowup at Honda). Though the linked DIY is excellent (great job animeS2K!), it's not worth the hassle to me to replace them again.

The only bad thing is, if they say something like oh it's natural for lights to become dimmer as time goes on, and they still make you pay the 90 bucks for diagnostics or w/e crap it is.

I had similar prob on a 96 integra.

some idiot lights on the instrument cluster weren't as bright as others.

Figured out is was a loose ground connector transmission-to-frame. Check your grounds, especially the big thick ones.
