Default Disable custom drl setup

My recently purchased ap1 was imported from the US requiring drl for initial inspection. The drls are off now as there is no fuse in the fuse box. My question is I know us models did not come with drl so my existing drl is a custom application.

I know this because my dash lights, tail lights are always on night mode. It makes the dash very hard to see during the day and I hate having my tail lights and parking lights on all the time. I did research and there's plenty of diy on how to install drls correctly but none explaining how to disable the half ass job done to the car.

I'm not a very technical person when it comes towering but I'm sure there's a fuse or wire I can cut to return the car back to factory specs.

Anyone know how I can do this.

I know it's not factory as my parking lights, brake lights, and cluster lights are always on night mode aka always on everytime engine is running. Tried looking under the dash for any wiring out of norm but everything looks right.

How do you activate the DRL? Or is it always on, as soon as you start the car?

Always on - Check the comination switch wiring, it's probably spliced and tapped into the parker light switch.

Switch - Follow the wires, and remove as required.

If you want to rewire it and only have it on when you want it to be ie. via a switch. Get yourself some wire, a relay and have it wired directly to the battery and the IGN so you only have it on when you want it, and if you left it on after parking your car, it won't stay on.....

I'm thinking it's tapped into the parking light switch. Where would this be?

Yah I'm pretty definite. My parking lights are on and tail lights are on all the time. The switch to turn on night mode doesn't do anything bc the cars always on night mode. The cluster is set to the brightest.

After doing some research this apparently is common when shops do a basic drl install. Causes night mode to always be active when the engine is running.

I didn't really mind at first but read that it can cause ac fan to always be on.
