Disassembling bolts on brake calipers
I'm disassembling a spare set of brake calipers, but I can't figureout how to get one of the parts out. The two main portions of each caliper are held together by 2 screws and 2 captured nuts with rubber boots surrounding them (no sick jokes, please
)... it's the captured nuts I'm trying to release. What 's the trick? I don't want to tear the rubber boots unless I can get an easy replacement for them.

The captured nut is actually a slidepin, hold the pin and remove the bolt.
The pins should slide out from the caliper housing, if the pins are corroded prety bad you may need to persuade them out with a wrench/WD-40/pull/hammer Etc.

The bolts came out with no problem, and the pins are easily pushed in/out or twisted side to side, but the pin boot appears to be holding it in... do I just pull really hard on the pin? The Helms says to replace the boot during an overhaul of the caliper, so I'm wondering if the boot is included in the rebuild kit.
