Default Disassembling rear tailights

So my left taillight started collecting condenstation. I know its fixable without pulling the plastic lens but the lens has some small dried water droplets that will drive me crazy. Any way to pull off the clear lens so I can wipe the inside down. I heard your supposed to bake it but i dont see any kind of sealant around the outside, just these few tabs.

You will almost guaranteed break the lens of the taillight due to how it is installed. The sealant is deep in the lens and is a thick sticky substance similar to tar. I highly advise not taking them apart as you will more than likely end up busting or warping the lens.

A simple cure for the water droplets you have is to take about 1/4 cup of pure Windex (make sure its windex brand) glass cleaner and dump it into one of the light bulb sockets. Swish it all around repeatedly until the lens has been completely cleaned and then dump out the windex back through the housing. The excess that is left behind will evaporate on its own or you can apply some light heat to speed up evaporation.

The condensation will come back unless you replace the foam gasket between the body of the vehicle and the taillight. I have in the past had some luck by swapping the gaskets side to side so they are reversed. Another option is to use a very thin bead of silicone on each side of the gasket and effectively glue it in place. If the lights need to be removed, as long as you didnt use a ton, they can easily be pulled off.

Good luck!

Danwolski, I wouldn't recommend attempting to remove the lens on the taillight. It's quite a bit of extra work and an unnecessary risk in my opinion as you could end up cracking something. Check out this thread for some details on how I cleaned my taillights (start at post #14). There are some nice before and after pictures. Just make sure you are a little more gentle with the taillight housing than I was!
