G'day
My name is Steve I am the Engineering Manager for Disc Brakes Australia (DBA). I am responsible for the product development of our Performance and Motor Sport disc brake products.

If anyone has any questions about brakes please ask.

I'm not a salesman so don't ask about pricing please.

Do you put any sort of coating on the rotors to combat rust? Will the coating hold up to high temperatures?

Heat stress.
The heat cycling from using a disc on the track fatigues standard iron castings very quickly. The holes from cross drilling are stress raisers and generally are the first to crack. The cracks on the is disc don't appear to be all the way through yet but your driving on a possible time bomb. Generally they will just pop and separate on one side but I have seen some blow into pieces on the track especially if the give way at the end of a straight.
As a rule we don't recommend Cross Drilled rotors for track use. Cross drilled rotors will run at higher temperatures than plain or slotted rotors due to the lower material mass. They also cool quicker which gives a very steep high/low temperature gradient and this accellerates fatigue more so. Quite a lot of people use cross drilled rotors for Auto X but not track sprints or endurance work.

My suggestion is to toss them in the trash and get some Slotted only rotors for track use. Only use Cross drilled type rotors for the street.

Will the paint hold up to mountain drives and occasional track use? I've heard most coatings do not.
