Default DIY valve adjustment guide?

Ive come to conclusion that "most" of the clicking noises that people have with their cars is the valves.

For my car, it seems as if it is getting worse.
As my car is fully warmed up i can hear the valves, like you should, but mine are very very loud.
Sounds like a very rapid "card in the spokes" sound. Especially in 1st, 2nd, and sometimes 3rd. And if my car is warmed up and if i turn it off to go into a store or something and come back and start it back up the clicking starts up almost right away(mind that the car is still in neutral) and wont go away for about 2 mins, or if i drive away.
My car has 86k miles and i don't believe it has ever had an adjustment, and i believe it should due to the amount of miles it has.

Does anyone have a spread or a link that you can give me to an easy valve adjustment?
i would love to save an extra couple hundred dollars and the embarrassment from the Honda shop making fun of me for being to psychotic.

Thanks guys
JIM

Stock s2k valves dont make noise.

Pistons, rods, thrustwashers make noise.\

Your car likely has a bad TCT.
