I got another valve cover that I would like to do a different color. Is there a DIY on what to use to strip it and how to repaint it?

 

TBH I just had mine sandblasted and powder coated for $60 so it might not be worth your trouble. That is up to you.

When I did the valver cover on my Integra I usedAircraft Paint Remover to remove the O.E. finish. This product can be found at any local automotive/hardware store. IMO I would recommend using the aerosol version, just for the ease of application. For the finish I you're going to need to use a high temp primer and paint or get it pc'd.

 

I use aerosol gasket remover, it seems to be a bit more powerful than the areosol paint removers I have used in the past. To finish it I would use a high temp paint like craig2teg suggested...
