Default do you need to reset the ecu...?

after installing mods like exhaust and cai etc.. do u need to reset the ecu?
what does reseting the ecu do and how do you do that?

You don't need to reset the ECU as it will eventually adapt to the new parts by itself, apparently.

for immediate effects, reset the ecu after you install any engine-related part. but jl9000 is correct, the ecu can automatically adapt to the new settings BUT it takes time.
