Default do you own a Spoon ECU?

Having a real hard time with a car we have in the shop. Not getting any fuel pressure with the Spoon ECU, checks out fine with the factory computer. 2 Spoon ECUs, same problem. If anyone out there in S2000 land owns a Spoon ECU, could you please drop me a line via e-mail, PM, or phone? info@ScienceofSpeed.com, 877-863-4520.

Cheers,

Chris, someone else mentioned this awhile back. Don't know why since JDM ECUs don't have the immobilizer, but they said that they needed to bypass it in order for the engine to fire up. I met a guy here in NYC awhile back forgot his name on the board but he bought some stuff off of me and he said he had no probs with the Spoon ECU. But somebody else mentioned the same problem you are having a little while back on the board. I thought he was crazy but I guess he wasn't. It seems to be a problem on some Spoon ECUs but not on all.

If the immobilizer key light is flashing all the time with the Spoon ECU, then the immobilizer is your problem. You would have to reprogram the ECU for the keys, Only available with a Honda PGM tester.

Ok, I am going to throw my 2 cents here and I hope everyone agrees. There is a work around and it does have to do with the immobilizer. But it should not be posted online, for obvious reasons.

I would suggest that the level of difficulty be considered. If it's rather timely or difficult to do I don't see a problem with posting it. If it's a quickie that could be done in "no time" by a theif, then sure - keep it offline.

I'm not going to post the details online, but if someone who has the ECU need to know I'll pass the details on.

Brian's my new hero, his advice allowed me to get the car running. Thanks Brian! If you need advice if you own a Spoon ECU, feel free to contact me or Brian.

I am getting a CEL code 1412 which isn't specified by my OBD2 computer or the service manual. Anyone see this before?

Cheers,
