In the pic it is the bigger hose coming off the intake tube.

I have an AP1 (2001) and the intake doesnt have this tube, just wondering where it goes and where I could find it on a honda diagram. Thanks!

In the parts pic, its the tube that clamps onto part #12

 

It's the air pump system to help on start-up emissions... if you look behind the wheel closer to the front, unless it's removed, there will be a small pump (turbocharger looking)... doesn't hurt the car at all, but looks like someone might of had an aftermarket Intake prior to you owning it and forgot to reinstall the pipe...

Do you have a CEL? Just asking b/c there is no way around the airpump without a CEL unless you have an EMS.

Does the air pump actually have to pump the air from the intake though or could you just put a filter on the pump?

 

Hmm thats weird! You sure you dont have an EMS in your car? lol Maybe you should try to pull back the driver side fender linner some and try to see if you even have an air pump.

Yes im pretty sure the air pump has to be attatched back to the intake to not throw a CEL.

Its behind the front bumper on the driver side. You can probably pull the driver side fender liner back and see it.
