Does anyone make a full rear-end for us?
The housing isn't the weak link... it seems that both the differential and the axles are the weak link. I know of a racer in California that broke an axle also. The only housing breakages I've heard of are due to a diff breaking and launching parts through the housing. If you replace your diff with a beefier unit and get the axles strengthened I can't see a problem.
My question is, why not wait until something happens? I would le your diff break, then get it replaced under warranty and then go until that one breaks and then if they won't replace the second version then get an aftermarket diff. There doesn't seem to be any benefit to pre-emptively change the diff/case or axles. There have been relatively few failures when compared to cars sold, and who knows the types of abuse they have recieved. I personally know that axle-hop will kill both axles, CV joints and differentials. If people are letting their cars axle-hop then they are truly abusing the driveline. We've got *over* 300 hard, high-rpm clutch drop launches with sticky Hoosier tires on grippy concrete surfaces. We know that something is going to break on ours, but so far it hasn't. We're forced to use the stock driveline so we just have to wait for it to break... in fact, we are thinking of having a spare diff, clutch and axle assembly with us at all times.
But if you aren't competing, just let the stock parts break if they will at all, then use your warranty. That's what its there for. Chances are it won't break. There are plenty of people with 30K miles-plus that have had ZERO problems.
