That's correct, and in line with what I said. To be more specific, neither filter will be anissue for the engine.

There is no "as much air as it needs". The engine will pull as much air as it can.

Back on topic, I agree that this filter is unlikely to make a significant difference, but usually a substantially smaller filter will not allow the engine to get as much air as a properly sized filter.
